David Gold reacts on Twitter to West Ham loss to Manchester United

The Hammers were knocked out of the FA Cup on Wednesday evening.

David Gold has admitted his huge disappointment at West Ham United’s loss to Manchester United on Twitter.

The Hammers hosted Louis van Gaal’s side at Upton Park on Wednesday evening in their FA Cup quarterfinal clash.

Things did not go how they had dreamed however as goals from Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini saw the visitors to a 2-1 win.

They brought an end to West Ham’s dream of winning the competition as the perfect send off before their move to the Olympic Stadium this summer.

And tweeting after the game, Gold has admitted his huge disappointment, while adding that the fact they were only minutes away from success at Old Trafford adds to the blow.

The Hammers must now turn their attention back to the Premier League as they eye a place in the top four this season.

They currently sit sixth in the table and five points behind Manchester City in fourth with six games left to play.

That means they have a huge chance of securing that Champions League place for themselves, and they will be keen to do so between now and the end of the season.
