The striker has been given two weeks off to get himself in shape for Villa.
The Villa forward has struggled to find any sort of form this season and has left fans livid with his lethargic displays on the pitch.
Then came the incident involving the shisha pipe in Dubai during the international break and now he has been told he will not feature for Villa for two weeks.
Interim manager Eric Black confirmed earlier today that Agbonlahor was to undergo a fitness regime for the next fortnight before assessing whether he was ready to play for the club again this season.
Agbonlahor has long been criticised for his lack of fitness, effort and his weight by his own fans and it finally seems as though one manager has decided enough is enough.
The 29-year-old, who has three caps for England, used to be known for his blistering pace, but that has abandoned him in recent years and he has played just 18 times this season – scoring once.
Villa fans were certainly not in the mood to be forgiving on Twitter and let Agbonlahor know exactly what they thought…
Agbonlahor has a lot to learn from Kobe Bryant. Staying loyal to one club is secondary to a relentless will to improve as an athlete. #AVFC— LuisMiguelEchegaray (@lmechegaray) April 14, 2016
