The Reds have moved quickly to sign Andrea Kormayer to their medical team.
The Reds are in need of a new fitness coach for next season after current incumbent Ryland Morgans, an appointment under Brendan Rodgers, announced he was leaving last month.
And it transpires Liverpool have looked to the top of the game to fill the gap, targeting the Bayern Munich man as his replacement.
Kornmayer, a medic at the Bavarian giants, is set to arrive in the summer, as the Anfield club look to add some of the German side's advanced methods to their own system, reports the Mirror.
The 41-year-old is highly experienced, having spent over a decade at the Allianz Arena and worked under a number of managers, such as Louis van Gaal, Jupp Heynckes and more recently Pep Guardiola.
Indeed, the appointment may signal what is to come for Liverpool, with him likely to play a key role in in this summer’s pre-season schedule.
Klopp is likely to be working his squad, plus any new additions, to the maximum as he attempts to properly implement his style at the club ahead of his first full campaign in charge at Anfield.
