Report: Leicester and Bournemouth join race for non-league striker Ashley Nadesan

The 21-year-old has been attracting interest from a handful of Premier League sides.

Leicester and Bournemouth have reportedly joined the race to sign non-league goalscoring machine Ashley Nadesan, according to the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old currently plays for Horley Town in step five of the non-league pyramid but may soon be set for a move to either a Football League or Premier League club.

Nadesan - who also currently works at McDonald's and has scored around 90 goals in the past two seasons - has recently enjoyed a trial with Millwall while Norwich City are also monitoring his progress, the Mail reports.

However, the pair will have to see off competition from the Foxes and the Cherries, who may have not only been alerted by his form for his current side but also the fact that he scored for Millwall's under-21 team during his trial with the club.

Although it is highly unlikely that Nadesan will be ready for first-team action if he was to join any of the sides reportedly chasing his signature, the confidence that both Leicester and Bournemouth have shown in players that have come from outside the professional game may give them an advantage over the Canaries if they look to try and get a deal done.
