Sunderland and Hull City are amongst the clubs battling to sign Oxford United's Kemar Roofe
Roofe has been one of the standout talents in League Two this season, with his performances catching the eye of scouts from clubs competing a higher levels.
Both Sunderland and Newcastle United are believed to have had eyes on the attacking midfielder, but Hull are also keen.
The Tigers reportedly feel that he is a realistic addition in the summer transfer window, and they could submit a bid in the coming months.
Steve Bruce’s side are unlikely to be able to sign the 23-year-old without competiton, though.
The Sunderland Echo suggest that there are a number of Championship clubs still considering making offers, while Sunderland are also interested.
The Black Cats are currently scouting the forward, but they have not made an approach of yet.
Roofe has scored 25 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions for Oxford this season.
