Leeds United supporters appear to feel that they had a lucky escape after not signing Kyle Lafferty in the January.
Leeds came up against the striker that they were linked heavily with throughout the last transfer window yesterday, but he had no impact on the match.
Lafferty’s Birmingham City side were outplayed by the Whites, who picked up a deserved 2-1 victory at St. Andrews.
Leeds scored twice through Stuart Dallas, and even though Clayton Donaldson did pull a goal back for the Blues it was not enough.
Lafferty’s impact on the match was minimal, and some Leeds fans are now thankful that they did not get a deal for the Northern Ireland international over the line.
Didn't want Lafferty anyway!!!!!— Phil (@Fil1966) April 12, 2016
Top win, Dallas both great strikes (who's Lafferty ?). Glad Murphy played better and nice flick on by Wood for the second #LUFC— Tony Mulraney (@tmulraney) April 12, 2016
Lafferty seems like a complete waste for Brum glad now we didn't go for him— Darren (@leedsfc9) April 12, 2016
Lafferty now has scored one goal in his first three appearances for Birmingham, since joining on loan from Norwich City.
The striker seems to be trying to regain match sharpness, as he aims to get back to his best.
Birmingham have dropped down to ninth spot in the Championship table after their defeat, while Leeds have moved up to 15th place.
