The Tottenham Hotspur forward has a bright future ahead of him.
The 18-year-old has impressed since making the step up at Spurs and he now has nine goals in just 13 appearances at that level for the club.
Harrison’s form has seen some Tottenham fans call for his inclusion in the first-team squad, but while he has been training regularly with the senior side, his manager Mauricio Pochettino will know he still has some way to go before he is ready for the challenges of the Premier League.
Speaking after his outstanding contribution in a 3-1 victory against the title-chasing Black Cats, Harrison told Spurs TV, “It’s amazing, I’m over the moon. It’s my first hat-trick for the under-21s so it’s a big positive for me and I’m just happy to help out the team and grab the three points.
“I just want to keep scoring goals, keep working hard, and hopefully next season it will be a much more positive season again.”
Tottenham have some of the most exciting young players in the country coming through their ranks right now and there is absolutely no doubt that Harrison is in that category.
His latest performance will have surely caught Pochettino’s eye and whatever the rest of this campaign has in store, next season could see Harrison make the breakthrough in senior football either in North London or out on loan.
