Everton fans on Twitter have had enough of Roberto Martinez

The Spaniard’s time on Merseyside could be coming to a premature end if results keep going against the Toffees.

Everton fans have taken to social media networking site Twitter ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace, urging the club to sack manager Roberto Martinez.

The former Wigan Athletic head coach has overseen a disappointing campaign on Merseyside, with the Blues currently sitting 14th in the Premier League table.

Everton have avoided a relegation fight this year but many fans are unhappy with Martinez’s performance as boss, with the club picking up just four wins in the league at Goodison Park this term.

Following his appointment in 2013, Martinez has recorded plummeting league positions. After a promising fifth place finish to start his tenure with the club, Everton ended the 2014-15 campaign in the bottom half and are set to finish in their lowest league spot since 2003-04 this time round.

As a result, fans have taken to Twitter to voice their discontent, with some demanding Martinez be removed from his role should they lose to out-of-form Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.
