Report: Newcastle United keen to sell Moussa Sissoko

The midfielder has been in disappointing form for the Magpies this season.

Newcastle United are keen to sell midfielder Moussa Sissoko this summer, regardless of what division they are in, reports the Telegraph.

The Magpies are currently 19th in the table and six points from safety following a disastrous Premier League campaign.

Many are expecting them to be relegated to the Championship as a result with that six-point gap looking insurmountable given their recent form.

If they do drop out of the top flight, a fire sale of their current squad is expected as the club look to reduce costs following relegation

And one player Newcastle are reportedly particularly keen to sell is midfielder Moussa Sissoko, although his exit is not dependent on what division they will be in.

The Frenchman has struggled for his best form again this season, with his poor showings thought to be a major concern, according to the Telegraph report.

Sissoko, and several other stars, are all on big wage packets at present and the club do not have wage reduction clauses in their contracts.

The French player is on £55,000-a-week, adding another reason to the list why the Magpies are allegedly keen to bid him farewell this summer.
