City progressed to their first ever Champions League semi final on Tuesday evening as a Kevin de Bruyne goal saw them win 1-0 on the evening and 3-2 overall.
It was a highly impressive display from Manuel Pellegrini’s side, who made a dangerous PSG side look ordinary at the Etihad.
Making their mark on the European stage is arguably the next big step for the club, and something incoming manager Pep Guardiola will look to ensure when he arrives next summer.
One who was impressed by the display was former defender Michael Ball, who was quick to congratulate his former team on Twitter after the final whistle.
He was not the only one to tweet either, as former ‘keeper Kasper Schmeichel praised them alongside Robbie Fowler, while Rodney Marsh was ken to praise manager Manuel Pellegrini.

City will now wait with bated breath to see who they will face in the semi finals as they eagerly anticipate a place in the final.
Real Madrid have already secure their place after overcoming Wolfsburg, while Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona and Bayern Munich vs Benfica are the other quarter final ties.
