Tottenham are in talks over a stunning move for Rennes winger Ousmane Dembele.
Spurs look set to finish second behind league leaders Leicester City this season, and whilst their bid for the title ultimately looks like falling short, it's still been an incredible season for Tottenham and manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Champions League football is returning to White Hart Lane next season, and Pochettino deserves much of the credit for that. The Argentine has brought a host of young players into first-team contention, with Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all starring under Pochettino - and that youth movement will no doubt be an attractive proposition to young players around the world.
Now, France Football report that Tottenham have in fact held talks to sign another youngster, with Rennes wonderkid Ousmane Dembele the subject of their interest.
Dembele, 18, has come up through the ranks at Rennes in recent years, and has exploded onto the scene with 12 goals and five assists in his first Ligue 1 campaign this season.
Those performances have made the electric winger hot property around Europe, and France Football report that Spurs are attempting to stun Europe's elite - such as Bayern Munich and Barcelona - by signing Dembele this summer.
It's claimed that Tottenham held preliminary talks with Dembele's representatives in London this month, and are hoping to steal a march on the competition in what could be a blockbuster coup for Pochettino and Spurs.
A pacey wide man, who can also play up front, Dembele has incredible dribbling ability and an obvious eye for goal, and at just 18, he's been tipped for stardom. If Spurs can land him, this may be a bigger coup than landing Dele Alli from MK Dons last season.
Do you think Spurs can sign Dembele?
