Balague has claimed that Madrid will part company with the Colombia international attacking midfielder at the end of the season if they get the right transfer fee.
“All I can say is that Real Madrid are more than happy to sell him... if they get the right amount of money,” the well-known Spanish football journalist wrote on Skysports.com in response to a question from a Manchester United fan whether Rodriguez to the Red Devils could happen.
According to a report in The Mirror earlier this month, both United and Chelsea are interested in securing the services of the former FC Porto star.
The former AS Monaco attacker has been on the books of Madrid since the summer of 2014 and has a contract until June 2020.
Rodriguez has scored six goals and created 48 chances in 20 La Liga appearances for Madrid so far this season.
During the 2014-15 campaign, the Colombia international scored 13 goals and created 77 chances in 29 league matches for the Spanish giants.
