Delighted Rangers fans react to Forrester's new deal on Twitter... make important request

Forrester moved to Ibrox on a six-month contract in December and has delighted supporters with his early displays.

After four months, and five goals in 16 appearances, Harry Forrester has finally signed a long-term deal with Rangers.

It's been some second half to the campaign for Forrester, who began it on the bench, and often in the stands, at struggling English League One side Doncaster Rovers.

But a reunion with Mark Warburton, with whom he worked at Brentford and Watford - where the Rangers boss began his coaching career at academy level - appears to have tapped into the 25-year-old's true potential.

In less than a week, Forrester became a Scottish Championship and Petrofac Cup winner, and having committed to the Light Blues until 2019, the hope is that this is merely the start for him at Ibrox.

The forward said upon signing his new deal that Champions League football is the aim, but as far as many Rangers fans are concerned there's a more important task left to complete.

Here's the best of the reaction on Twitter...

Forrester was substituted in the 67th minute of Sunday's final, but said he expects to be fit by the time Rangers return to Hampden Park in five days' time.
