Could Tottenham Hotspur spring a surprise move for the PSG star?
Bookmakers Ladbrokes have given odds on Tottenham Hotspur signing Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer.
The 34-year-old currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain but he is out of contract at the end of the season and is set to leave the French capital for a new challenge.
Ibrahimovic has been linked with some of the biggest clubs in England, with the bookies making Manchester United 7/4 favourites to bring the forward to Old Trafford.
However, with Tottenham qualifying for the Champions League next season and building quite a reputation in the game, they would be an enticing prospect for the outspoken Swede.
The fact that Spurs also play their football in the capital could be a deciding factor, although it is worth noting that given his age he is not a player Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would usually sanction a move for.
Still, with manager Mauricio Pochettino likely to sign a new striker to ease the pressure on Harry Kane next season and beyond, Ladbrokes are giving odds of 16/1 that Ibrahimovic will arrive at White Hart Lane in due course.
The PSG forward has scored a quite remarkable 39 goals in 41 appearances this season, and with 362 club goals to date he could be a wonderful signing despite the fact he is coming to the end of his career.
