Young Tottenham striker Shayon Harrison showed why he is so highly rated.
Shayon Harrison struck a hat-trick as Tottenham's under-21 side beat league leaders Sunderland 3-1 at White Hart Lane.
The 18-year-old has been training with the first team on regular occasions this season, and last night showed just why he is so highly rated.
His goals helped turn the game around after Spurs had gone 1-0 down early on, with his excellent header for the second being the pick of the bunch.
After seeing Harry Kane progress through the ranks into the first team and netting 20 plus goals in consecutive Premier League seasons, there is real hope Harrison can go on to replicate him.
Despite his promise the teenager is still to be handed his debut, although his display last night showed it could only be a matter of time.
Harrison opened the scoring early on with a tap in, before rising highest to put his side 2-1 up at the break by meeting a cross from Will Miller.
He had a number of chances to complete his hat-trick in the second half only to be denied, before drilling home from an angle in the 89th minute.
Already that he is leading the line for the under-21s at just 18 is a promising sign, being promoted after top scoring for the under-18s with 15 goals in 18 games last season.
He has nine goals in 13 under-21 games this campaign, with a further three assists to his name.
Here is a look at how Tottenham fans reacted to his hat-trick, with the game streamed live over the internet by the club website...
