Former Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore predicted on the Call Collymore show on talkSPORT on Saturday evening (April 9) that Celtic will win against Rangers next weekend.
Celtic will take on Old Firm rivals Rangers in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park on Sunday afternoon.
“I am going to say Celtic just by virtue of the fact that currently they are at the top of the league,” said Collymore on the Call Collymore show on talkSPORT on Saturday evening (April 9) when asked for his prediction of the match. “It’s a huge rivalry. I will go 1-0 or 2-1.”
Celtic have the strongest squad in Scotland, and the Bhoys will head into the tie as favourites.
Ronny Deila’s side have picked up some form, and the Hoops will certainly be determined to do well against Rangers.
Rangers, who won the Scottish Championship title last week, are not as strong as Celtic, but the players are certainly in confident mood at the moment.
Mark Warburton’s side clinched the Scottish Challenge Cup on Sunday afternoon, and they will be determined to announce their return to the Scottish top flight by getting the better of their bitter rivals.
It will be a very competitive and tight game, and it should be an entertaining one for the neutrals. A single goal could decide the outcome of the tie.
