Newcastle fans react on Twitter to Tony Pulis speculation

Tony Pulis Interview - 23/02/2014

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis is reportedly on Newcastle United’s radar.

Newcastle United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on speculation that the club are looking to appoint Tony Pulis in the summer.

According to a recent report in The Daily Mail, Pulis is among the candidates Newcastle will consider should Rafael Benitez leave the club at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The Magpies are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Benitez has a relegation clause in his contract at Newcastle, and many will expect him to activate it if he fails to keep the Magpies in the English top flight.

After all, having been in charge of clubs such as Real Madrid, Liverpool and Chelsea, would the Spaniard really be interested in managing a team in the Championship?

Pulis is in charge of West Bromwich Albion at the moment and has a contract until June 2017. The Welshman’s playing style is not entertaining, but he is a manager who gets the job done.

The former Stoke City and Crystal Palace boss knows how to get clubs out of the Championship and keep them in Premier League.

Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Pulis is a managerial candidate for next season.
