Leicester City stars react on Twitter as Foxes secure Champions League place

Foxes match-winner Jamie Vardy joined teammates Danny Simpson and Robert Huth on the social media site.

Leicester City are closing in on their first ever English top flight title after a 2-0 win at Sunderland on Sunday.

The Foxes remain seven points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur but with one fewer game to play.

It's all starting to get very real for Claudio Ranieri's men, who in victory secured their place in next season's Champions League.

Several Leicester stars took to Twitter in the aftermath, and while most remain focused on the task in hand, one in particular was caught with his head in the clouds.

"Yes! Champions League guaranteed! Better start practicing my Rabonas," posted centre-back Robert Huth, who kept his sixth clean sheet in seven matches at the Stadium of Light.

Fellow defender Danny Simpson tweeted: "So champions league is guaranteed. Let's keep it going boys", while match-winner Jamie Vardy fired an ominous warning shot in the chasing pack's direction.

The 21-goal striker, who scored twice against the Black Cats, posted: "Great win, 3 points, and Top 4 finish guaranteed, fans today unreal, next week we go again #lcfc #fearless"

Leicester now need a maximum of three wins from their remaining five fixtures to claim the crown, although they have top six sides West Ham and Manchester United, and last season's champions Chelsea still to come.
