Five facts about Mario Lemina, the midfielder linked with Leicester City and Arsenal

Leicester City

Lemina is being linked with Leicester, Arsenal and a number of others with his future in the balance.

Premier League title rivals Leicester City and Arsenal are among the top European clubs keen on Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina, according to French publication Le 10 Sport.

Here are five things to know about the 22-year-old:

5) He's only on loan to Juventus, though the Serie A side have the option to turn the deal permanent this summer. His parent club, Marseille, are cash-strapped and unlikely to put up a fight if the Italians opt out.

4) He's primarily a defensive midfielder, but has scored twice in seven Serie A outings so far. He can also play as a full-back or wide midfielder and was once deployed as part of a three-man back line by Marcelo Bielsa.

3) He's gained a reputation for being a bit of a hot head and once punched Sunderland's Ola Toivonen in the nuts while the Swede was at Rennes, prompting a straight red card.

2) He was coming through the ranks at Lorient while Arsenal trio Laurent Koscielny, Francis Coquelin and Joel Campbell were there, albeit separately. Could this give the Gunners the upper hand?

1) He's an international colleague of Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, should anyone ask if you know any Gabon players. Another link that could work in Arsenal's favour...
