Tottenham Hotspur demolished Manchester United in Premier League action earlier today.
Dele Alli and Eric Dier have both praised Tottenham Hotspur’s performance in their 3-0 victory over Manchester United, in their interviews with Sky Sports after the match.
Spurs brushed aside the Red Devils’ challenge, with a barnstorming second half performance.
The Lilywhites were nothing short of sensational in the closing stages of the match, as they kept their title hopes alive.
Dele Alli tucked home Tottenham’s first, before Toby Alderweireld nodded in a second and Erik Lamela rounded off the scoring.
Tottenham have now closed the gap on Leicester to seven points, and Dier is hoping to keep the pressure on.
"No matter what happens we’re going to concentrate on ourselves and give our best," Dier said. "Our aim is to get five wins now until the end of the season.
"We were at our very best in the second half."
Alli was also delighted with the way that Tottenham had played, and he has urged his teammates to finish the season strongly.
"We knew what opposition we were coming up against, and we knew it would be tough," Alli added. "We were aiming to finish the season strong and get on a good run. They were never going to make it easy for us, but I think it was a good performance from all the boys."
Alli was cautioned late on for simulation, after going down easily under a challenge in the penalty box, and he could even afford to laugh about the incident after the match.
“That’s the ref’s decision to make,” he joked when asked whether he dived, with Dier chuckling alongside him.
Tottenham’s next match comes against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Monday evening.
