The striker scored his second ever career hattrick in the 3-3 draw with Arsenal.
The striker was in fine form in Saturday’s 3-3 draw at Upton Park, as he bagged all three of his side’s goals in a scintillating London derby.
It was only his second career hattrick, and has now got people talking of a potential call up into England’s squad for Euro 2016 in France this summer.
And Antonio has hailed his teammate as outstanding, saying there is no one who can stop him when the ball is hanged up at the far post.
“Andy was outstanding, as you could see,” he told whufc.com.
“You don’t get a hat-trick without performing well and he did what we know he can do. When you hang it up to the back post, there is no-one who can hold him and no-one who can stop him.”
Carroll will now be hoping he can stay fit and continue to shine in the Hammers first team between now and the end of the season.
If he can do that, the clamor for him to be included in England’s squad will only grow ahead of this summer’s tournament.
There is no denying he offers something different to what the current crop of forwards offer, and that could prove very tempting to Roy Hodgson as tries to ensure success in France.
