Northampton Town have been promoted to League One, despite Ellis Harrison’s late equaliser earning Bristol Rovers a 2-2 draw at Sixfields Stadium. The point was enough to secure Chris Wilder’s side promotion.
Harrison, a substitute, struck from close range in the 88th minute to seal Rovers’ fightback after Nicky Adams (23) and Sam Hoskins (49) had put Northampton two up.
Matty Taylor (76) and Harrison hauled Rovers level, but the point was enough to secure the Cobblers a return to League One after seven seasons in the bottom tier.
