Mick Quinn tweets another dig at Crystal Palace boss over Ben Arfa

Alan Pardew

The former Newcastle man feels the player was mishandled by the Palace boss at St James' Park.

Newcastle United favourite Mick Quinn has tweeted another dig at Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew - this time for his treatment of Hatem Ben Arfa on Tyneside.

Indeed, the now Crystal Palace head coach was very clear that Ben Arfa needed to try harder during his time at Newcastle.

Eventually, the Frenchman was allowed to leave St James' Park - and is now shining in Ligue 1.

Quinn tweeted:

Opinion has always been split, however, when it comes to the former Newcastle man.

Is it simply wishful thinking to assume Ben Arfa would have been a similar success with the Magpies had he stayed on at St James' Park?

Some players just aren't a fit at Newcastle and Ben Arfa's attitude was often questionable.

That said, there are those - like Quinn - who believe the Frenchman would have thrived had he been treated better by his manager - now the man in charge at Crystal Palace.
