Everton supporters have accused Romelu Lukaku of giving up hope, after he put in a poor performance against Watford.
Lukaku has suggested that he wants to play Champions League football in the near future, and his performances since he made those comments have been below the quality required.
The 22-year-old forward has not looked himself in recent weeks, and his display against Watford was arguably the most ineffective of his season to date.
Lukaku simply could not get into the game, and when he was presented with a chance, he passed up the opportunity.
Although Lukaku has unquestionably had a great season, his attitude has drawn criticism with some Everton fans on social media site Twitter.
If Lukaku ran as much as he pointed where the ball should be,he'd be playing Champions league already!! Have to put in a shift #Efc— Bradlottie (@Bradlottie1) April 9, 2016

@Everton lukaku is only interested in playing I Europe, that's all he cares about, not Everton he has now gone cold on the club,— David Patrick (@DavidRobur1) April 9, 2016
Lukaku is still likely to be one of the most in-demand forwards in Europe over the summer transfer window, as he has scored with great frequency this term.
The Belgian international’s great form has not helped Everton mount a push for Europe, as they were expected to do, though.
