The Palace faithful were left disappointed with the 27-year-old against the Canaries.
There was elation overall at Selhurst Park, with Alan Pardew's men finally registering their first Premier League victory of 2016 thanks to Jason Puncheon's second-half winner.
But it was a tense affair for the Eagles, as Palace struggled to break the Canaries down early on.
And there was plenty of criticism aimed at Sako on social media as a result. The winger has had his moments for Crystal Palace this season and should improve with more time in south London.
On this occasion, however, the Palace fans were frustrated by his performance - and they were pleased to see the effective Wilfried Zaha replace him.
Here's how the Crystal Palace supporters reacted on Twitter to Sako's display against Norwich... hopefully he can bounce back next time out, even if that ends up being from the bench:
Get Sako off corners I beg. Surely Cabaye and Punch are better options #cpfc— Calum Broster (@BrosterJr11) April 9, 2016
Gotta be WILF on for Sako at half time surely? #CPFC— James Dunmall (@JimBobSuperStar) April 9, 2016
Wickham and Zaha surely on in the second half. Hardly seen Sako and we all know Gayle can't play on his own #cpfc— James Villani (@james_villani) April 9, 2016
Tense stuff. Sako poor and Hennessy an accident waiting to happen. Need Wilf and Jules. This game is there for the taking. #cpfc— Martyn (@theshepherdsdog) April 9, 2016
