West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has posted a picture on Twitter, as he celebrates winning the man of the match award against Arsenal.
Carroll netted a hat trick for the Hammers against the Gunners, in a pulsating 3-3 draw yesterday.
The target man scored all three of his goals over a seven minute period, as he proved his worth to Slaven Bilic’s side.
Arsenal had gone 2-0 up at Upton Park, but Carroll first powered home a header, before he slammed in a volley to put his side on level terms heading into the break.
The England international then met a Michail Antonio cross to put the Hammers into the lead, but they were denied all three points thanks to a fine strike from Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.
Although Carroll could not celebrate victory, he still had plenty to feel happy about and judging by the picture he posted on social media he was pleased with his afternoon’s work.
Carroll also earned praise from West Ham stopper Adrian, for his excellent performance.
West Ham’s draw with Arsenal has left them in sixth place in the Premier League table - five points from back the Champions League qualification spaces.
