Tottenham could rival Genoa for left back Jefferson Murillo.

According to a report from Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham Hotspur are one of a host of clubs interested in signing Colombian ace Jefferson Murillo.

Spurs are likely to be active in the transfer market at the end of the season, with Champions League football and new Premier League TV money heading to White Hart Lane this summer.

Fans will want additions in the final third, but manager Mauricio Pochettino may look to South America for a new defensive option, if reports are to be believed.

Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Spurs are interested in signing Cúcuta Deportivo ace Jefferson Murillo, with a host of clubs also keen.

It's suggested that Murillo, 23, has been training with Italian side Genoa for a month now, as the Italian side can't sign a non-EU player until the start of July.

That has opened the door for other clubs to hijack the deal, and it's believed that Tottenham are interested in signing left wing back Murillo, who can play at left back or on the left hand side of midfield.

It's also suggested that Marseille and Udinese are also keen on the pacey Murillo, who is allegedly keen on joining a club in Europe this summer, with Tottenham potentially his best destination, even though Spurs do already have left backs Ben Davies and Danny Rose.
