The centre-back played alongside the Hammers playmaker for France.
Laurent Koscielny has heaped praise upon Dimitri Payet ahead of Arsenal's trip to West Ham on Saturday, but insisted that the Hammers have several players that the Gunners need to be wary of, the Daily Star reports.
The Frenchman will be trying to keep the playmaker quiet at the Boleyn Ground, and having lined up alongside Payet for the national side and seen what he has been capable of for Slaven Bilic's men as well as Marseille previously, he suggested that it will be important to not give him space on the ball, but also insisted that he is not the only member of Bilic's squad that could take the game away from Arsenal.
"I think he’s enjoying England. He likes to have space and he plays on the left side, and every time he comes into the middle he can shoot or give some assists," he told the Star.
"He’s a very dangerous player but I think West Ham have a good squad because they are strong at the back and up front they have a lot of players who can make the difference."
Payet has been in scintillating form all season, but appears to have found another gear in recent weeks. He has scored seven goals in his last nine games for club and country and has shown how dangerous he can be from free-kicks.
And Arsene Wenger's squad know all too well how influential he can be as on the opening day of the season, it was his inviting cross that forced Petr Cech to come flying out of his goal and allowed the Irons to score their first in a 2-0 win.
But if the Gunners needed any more motivation to try and keep Payet quiet, it will be that knowing that a victory against West Ham will keep their slim title hopes alive while any dropped points would surely see them exit the race.
