The Tigers have been on a poor run of form of late, as they have lost ground on the automatic promotion spots.
Hull City striker Nick Powell is unlikely to feature again for the Tigers this season, after sustaining a thigh injury.
The Manchester United loanee has missed the last five matches with a hamstring problem, and Hull manager Steve Bruce told Sky Sports how he suffered a further setback as he was stepping up his training schedule:
"He re-injured himself on Tuesday when he was just stepping up his training with us for a second day. Unfortunately, he pulled a thigh. I don't think we'll see him again before the end of the season. We might be able to see him again and I wouldn't rule him out totally but it's going to be difficult given the way he went over."
Powell's injury setback will be a bitter blow for promotion chasing Hull, as they enter the final stretch of the Championship season.
The Humberside outfit have managed only one win in their last seven Championship outings, and will be looking to address that slump in form today, when they travel to The John Smith's stadium to take on Huddersfield.
The Crewe Alexandra academy product joined Hull on transfer deadline day on loan until the end of the season, but has failed to make the impact expected of him. He has only played three times in the Championship for the Tigers this term, failing to register a goal.
