Burnley beat Leeds United 1-0 this afternoon.
Burnley made it 18 Championship games unbeaten with a 1-0 win over Leeds United at Turf Moor this afternoon.
The Clarets started the day top of the table, but having entered the game off the back of three straight draws, Sean Dyche's men needed a win to fend off the chasing pack.
He was handed a major boost early on, as Scott Arfield found the bottom corner inside the first 60 seconds to hand Burnley the lead.
The Clarets continued to search for further goals, but were left disappointed - and could even have been pegged back by Leeds.
Striker Chris Wood missed two great chances to get Leeds back in the game, and the Whites couldn't find an equaliser as they narrowly lost this Lancashire v Yorkshire battle.
The result means Burnley have opened up a four point lead at the top of the table, and whilst Middlesbrough can close that gap, it was just what Dyche needed.
Meanwhile, it's now three defeats in four for Leeds and manager Steve Evans, who needs wins to try and earn a contract beyond the end of the season - and today didn't do him any favours on that front.
