Watford defender explains the difficulties in facing Everton's Romelu Lukaku

Everton’s Romelu Lukaku is one of the most feared strikers in the league.

Watford defender Allan Nyom says Everton’s Romelu Lukaku has a number of different qualities and inists his side must concentrate at all times to stop him, the club’s official website reports.

The Hornets face the Toffees at Vicarage Road this weekend in a game which both clubs arguably need to win as they face the prospect of their respective seasons drifting away in the latter stages.

In Everton’s case, they are under-performing in the Premier League and with the quality at their disposal in attack they should be pushing much closer to a place in the top six.

Indeed, Watford defender Nyom is well aware of Everton’s strengths in attack and insists key man Lukaku is one of the most dangerous strikers in the league as he possesses numerous qualities.

“He’s a good player. He’s strong, he’s quick and he’s powerful. He has a lot of qualities so we have to be concentrating at all times, and we have to stop him,” Nyom told Watfordfc.com.

The Belgium international has taken his game to an all new level this season, scoring an impressive 18 goals and adding a further six assists in 30 Premier League matches.

The Toffees have one of the most promising strikers in Europe, yet a failure to secure European football could cause Lukaku to re-evaluate his options and look to leave the Merseyside club.

In the meantime, Roberto Martinez’s side need to improve their league form while Watford are searching for their first league victory at Vicarage Road since January.
