Slaven Bilic sends Arsenal fans a timely reminder about Arsene Wenger

West Ham United and Arsenal will face each other in the Premier League on Saturday.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has spoken highly of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in The London Evening Standard.

The Hammers will take on their London rivals at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

“I am really looking forward to this match and meeting Arsene Wenger again,” Bilic wrote in The London Evening Standard. “Arsenal were a big club before he came but he has made them much bigger. Over the years, though, some of the fans have begun to take success for granted.

"Of course they are not happy when they haven’t won the Premier League title for so long but Arsenal have true stability at their club and Arsene has done a brilliant job for them.”

Wenger has been strongly criticised by many Arsenal fans in recent years due to the Gunners’ failure to win the Premier League title since 2004.

The Frenchman has been in charge of the Gunners since 1996, but there have been calls for him to leave.

Bilic’s comments are a timely reminder to Arsenal fans just how big an influence Wenger has been on the club.

The North London outfit have millions of fans all over the world due to the way they play and their success over the years, and credit should go to Wenger.

It cannot be denied that the Frenchman has not met the expectations of the fans over the last few years, but he deserves everyone’s respect.

Arsenal may not be winning the Premier League title regularly, but they consistently finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.
