Report outlines Mauricio Pochettino’s summer stance over 26-year-old Premier League striker

Pochettino

Corinthians-owned Chelsea forward Alexandre Pato has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino is not interested in signing Alexandre Pato in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

Pato is on loan at Chelsea from Corinthians at the moment and will remain at Stamford Bridge until the end of the season.

It has been reported by The Telegraph that representatives of the Brazilian striker sounded out Tottenham, but Pochettino does not have any interest in the former AC Milan man.

It has also been reported that West Ham United were offered the chance to look at Pato, but the London outfit have also turned it down.

Good decision?

Pato is 26 years of age and was rated as one of the most promising young players a few few years ago.

While the Brazil international striker does have potential, it would be a massive gamble for either West Ham or Spurs to sign him in the summer transfer window.

The former Internacional striker has scored one goal in one Premier League appearance for Chelsea.
