The Atletico Madrid manager has been named as a potential replacement for Arsene Wenger.
Wenger has come in for increased criticism this season as his side have a faltered in the title race.
Many are now calling for him to leave the club at the end of the season, believing a change in management could make them serious contenders once more.
A number of managers from world football have been named as potential replacements, and Atletico manager Simeone is among them.
Balague concedes that a move could happen in future, but in terms of style it is unlikely as the Argentine’s clashes with what Wenger has worked hard to establish.
“In the future – four, five, six, seven, eight years – who knows?” he told Sky Sports.
“But, in terms of style, Diego Simeone doesn’t fit into the philosophy Arsene Wenger has worked by at Arsenal.”
With Wenger looking unlikely to leave, the Gunners must now focus on mounting a late push to try and catch Leicester City this season.
They care currently 11 points behind the Foxes, and will need to win all of their remaining games to be within in any chance of closing the gap.
That will have to start this weekend, as they take on rivals West Ham United, with the Hammers eyeing a top four place themselves.
