The Portuguese international is keen on a Real Madrid exit.
The future of Cristiano Ronaldo has been up for debate for some time. The Real Madrid star has scored 42 goals in 42 games this season but is still being linked with a move away from the club this summer.
That has, of course, opened up the rumours of a potential return to Manchester United.
Ronaldo is still revered by many at Old Trafford and his signing would go a long way to placate United fans this summer – who have become frustrated with the club’s inconsistent form.
Manchester United however do not look likely to get the player, according to Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
He sent out a Twitter message yesterday which suggested that Ronaldo could be on his way from Real Madrid this summer. However, he hinted that Manchester would not be his destination, but Paris:
On CR7. Real needs new blood and the club is aware. Cristiano looking for a way out. If he goes, I don't think it will be United. #PSG— Guillem Balague (@GuillemBalague) April 7, 2016
Paris Saint-Germain are set to lose their marquee star Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer when his contract expires and certainly have the money to bring Ronaldo into the club.
Manchester United fans would certainly be pleased to welcome back Ronaldo, however it looks like PSG are in pole position.
