Steve Evans shares how he'll feel about Leeds United fans if he leaves Elland Road

Leeds United supporters have backed their side in great numbers this season.

Leeds United boss Steve Evans has told LUTV that his opinion on the club’s supporters will remain the same, even if he is managing another side in the future.

Evans has stated that Leeds have the best fan base of any side in world football.

And the 53-year-old insists that he will never think any differently about Leeds fans, no matter what club he is at.

"I can’t say pay them big enough compliments," Evans said. "Leeds United supporters are as good as any in the world. They are simply stunning. And if I come up against them in the future, I will still acknowledge them in the way I do - they are stunning."

Evans may be in an opposition dug out at Elland Road sooner rather than later, if reports are to be believed.

The Daily Mirror suggest that Evans will be sacked at the end of the season, as Massimo Cellino has lost faith in him.

Evans has guided Leeds away from the relegation zone, but he has only been able to take them up to 15th place in the Championship table.

The Whites have failed to win any of their last three matches, with their form taking a turn for the worse.

Leeds’ next match comes against comes against league leaders Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.
