The Hammers will take on Arsenal at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
While the Gunners are aiming to win the league title this season, West Ham’s target is to finish in the top four.
The London derby on Saturday afternoon promises to be a very entertaining and hugely competitive game.
While West Ham fans will be confident of picking up all three points from the encounter, Bilic seems to believe that Arsenal will be favourites.
Bilic has also explained how West Ham plan to approach the match against Arsenal.
"Arsenal are very lethal in the beginning of games and they are in very good form,” Bilic is quoted as saying by West Ham’s official Twitter page.
"We are happy but we want to grab any possibly situation in front of us,” added the West Ham boss. “We are thinking only about the game against Arsenal. Make no mistake, we'll do everything to win the game and stay in the race [for the top four].
"Arsenal are quite used to being in these situations year after year. There's no point in talking about who are favourites. To beat Arsenal you have to play a complete game. When they have the ball, you have to reduce the gaps between the lines."
It seems that Bilic is showing respect to Arsenal, but one should not have any doubt regarding his intention to win the London derby.
A win for West Ham is going to be a massive boost to their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season.
Playing at home is going to be give the Hammers an advantage, and one should not be surprised if they do eke out a narrow win.
