The Egyptian midfielder has made a solid start to his Arsenal career.
The Egyptian has enjoyed a fine start to his Arsenal career so far, with a series of impressive performances since joining from Basel in the January transfer window.
One of his best displays came against the Catalan giants at the Nou Camp, as he curled home his first goal for the club in his side’s eventual defeat.
That striker was recently voted as the club’s goal of the month for March and reflecting upon it, Elneny says it was a very beautiful feeling for him.
“I was very happy with it. However, I wasn't happy with the result of the game as we didn’t qualify,” he told arsenal.com
“It is something that you can't describe afterwards - but I was very happy to score against Barcelona in the Nou Camp - it was a very beautiful feeling.”
“I hope to score more goals in the future, hopefully to help the team to win the league title this year.”
For now, Elneny will be keen to keep building upon his strong start to life at the Emirates as his side look to make a strong end to the campaign.
They are currently 11 points behind leaders Leicester City, and need to win all of their remaining games to stand any chance of catching the Foxes.
He has already built a strong partnership in the centre of midfield with Francis Coquelin and will be hoping to add a few more goals to his tally as the season ends.
