Report: Peace values West Brom at £250m and willing to sell Berahino

Saido Berahino

The Baggies owner is reportedly willing to sell the 22-year-old forward.

West Brom owner Jeremy Peace values the club at £250 million but there are no buyers in sight at the moment, according to the Daily Mirror.

And that has led Peace to finally consider selling Saido Berahino this summer.

Indeed, the Mirror report that the West Brom chief will let Berahino go, after spending so long holding on to the young forward.

Meanwhile, the report also suggests Tony Pulis is in line for contract talks with West Brom, speculation that has already been suggested elsewhere recently.

It's something fans have been up in arms about, with the Welshman's negative tactics and lack of ambition frustrating many of the Baggies faithful this season.

Pulis is an expert at keeping teams up. But, at West Brom, he's taken a squad very capable of achieving a mid-table or top-half finish, told them in no uncertain terms that their only aim is to stay up - and gone out of his way to limit them in an attacking or forward-thinking sense.

There will be those supporters who are happy with that, of course, as taking too many risks can always end up with a team in the Championship...
