Report: Alexandre Pato's agent negotiating with Tottenham, West Ham, over summer move

Chelsea striker hoping to move to Premier League sides Tottenham or West Ham if Blues deal does not become permanent.

Up until last weekend, Alexandre Pato's mid-season switch to Chelsea had seemed like one of the more pointless signings of the January transfer window.

The former Brazil wonderkid made his debut against Aston Villa on Saturday, and made it count, scoring against Aston Villa in a 4-0 victory.

His future at the Blues remains unclear, and The Sun report that Pato's representatives are getting nervous, and have begun negotiations with rival Premier League clubs.

The paper claim that Pato's agent, Kia Joorabchian, has held talks with both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham in the hope of ensuring the player remains in the Premier League, as is his hope.

Joorabchian is the agent who secured West Ham the signings of Argentine pair Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano back in 2006.

Pato is currently on loan at Chelsea, but it remains unclear whether new boss Antonio Conte will want to sign him permanently when he arrives in the summer.

Fitness worries delayed his debut at Chelsea, but now he has made his debut and even got on the scoresheet, the final six games of the season are of real importance for him.

It is unclear whether Spurs or West Ham have a mutual interest in Pato, or his agent is pushing against a dead end, but if he can end the season in good form then he stands to give himself a chance of becoming in demand.
