Ray Wilkins has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show on TalkSPORT, which was broadcast on 7th April, that Watford will draw 1-1 with Everton at the weekend.
The Toffees are set to travel to Vicarage Road on Saturday, in a match which they will need to win to start appeasing supporters.
Roberto Martinez is under pressure at Everton, as the Merseyside club have struggled to live up to expectations this season.
The Toffees are currently in 12th place, and back-to-back defeats against Arsenal and Manchester United have increased frustration levels at Goodison Park.
The calls for Martinez to be sacked are growing louder by the game, and he will need to pick up a victory against Watford to relieve some of the pressure on him.
However, beating Watford has been a challenge this season, with Quique Sanchez Flores’ side performing well.
Watford are currently in 14th place in the Premier League table, and Wilkins has backed them to pick up a point at the weekend.
“They [Everton] were unlucky against United, but I was so disappointing in that game,” he said. “I’m going to go 1-1 [against Watford].”
If Everton can win at Vicarage Road they could move up to 11th in the top flight standings, while Watford would leapfrog Martinez’s side if they are to get the three points.
