Tottenham will take on the Red Devils at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Former United striker Owen has backed Spurs to pick up all three points from the encounter in North London courtesy of a 2-1 victory.
“Tottenham need three points at home to Man Utd on Sunday, and I think they will get them by a 2-1 score line,” the former England international wrote on Colossusbets.com.
“Utd owe their fifth place in the table to a miserly defence at Old Trafford – they won the reverse fixture 1-0 in August – but they aren’t so clever on the road and I just think that Tottenham possess too many match-winners.
“They have scored 30 goals and only lost twice in 16 home games, and I think they will win this to keep the pressure on Leicester.”
Former Liverpool and Newcastle United winger John Barnes believes that the Premier League match between Tottenham and United will end in a 1-1 draw.
“As was the case last week for Spurs, they’re up against a good side and one that, on their day, is their equal,” Barnes wrote on Titanbet.co.uk.
“Man United are hot and cold, but in the big games they’ve performed this season. Goalscorers - Harry Kane and Anthony Martial."
Tottenham are in better form than United at the moment, and playing at home is also going to give them an advantage.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side need to win the match in order to maintain pressure on league leaders Leicester City.
United are out of the running for the Premier League title this campaign, but they can still make it to the top four.
It will not be easy for the Red Devils to pick up all three points at White Hart Lane, but an early goal for Louis van Gaal’s side could make things tricky for the home team.
