Former Newcastle striker Owen has backed Italy international striker Pelle to find the net in the game.
“The Saints played well at the King Power Stadium last weekend and can get back to winning ways against a Newcastle side who have lost their last eight PL games on the road,” the former England international wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Graziano Pelle has been involved in Saints’ last five PL goals either scoring (3) or assisting the other pair; he might be the difference.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation; Pelle to score at anytime at 5/4.”
Pelle is one of the better players in the current Southampton squad and is likely to start the Premier League game against Newcastle on Saturday.
The former Feyenoord striker has scored nine goals and created 30 chances in 26 league matches for the Saints so far this season.
The Italian has a pass accuracy of 65% and a shot accuracy of 37%, and has won 99 headers, seven dribbles and 10 tackles.
Southampton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment and have an outside side of finishing in the top four.
Meanwhile, Newcastle currently find themselves second from bottom in the standings and are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
