John Barnes has written on Titanbet.co.uk that Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge is a better striker than Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur.
“Harry Kane’s continued good form made me think,” the former Liverpool winger wrote on Titanbet.co.uk. “The Spurs man has been an ever-present for the London club this season and has banged in the goals, and had Liverpool been able to field Daniel Sturridge for even 90% of the season, the Merseysiders could be up there with Tottenham. For me, Sturridge is a better all-round striker than Kane.”
Kane is the striker on better form at the moment and is also more reliable in terms of fitness.
Sturridge has not played much this campaign, and he struggled with fitness issues last season as well.
The Liverpool striker is very talented and has more experience than Kane, but it cannot be denied that the Tottenham youngster is a better and brighter prospect for the future.
Kane is younger than Sturridge and offers more than goals. The 22-year-old striker has scored 22 goals and created 32 chances in 32 Premier League matches for Tottenham so far this season.
Sturridge has scored four goals and created four chances in eight league games for Liverpool so far this campaign.
Liverpool are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment, while Tottenham are currently seven points off the pace in second place.
