The Liverpool legend has taken to social media after Borussia Dortmund's equaliser on Thursday night.
Liverpool were almost perfect against Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night.
Jurgen Klopp set his current team out to brilliant effect against his former side. And the Reds were virtually flawless.
One or two key moments prevented perfection, however, as Divock Origi and Philippe Coutinho missed chances to double Liverpool's away-goal tally.
And, of course, there was disappointment at the goal Klopp's men conceded considering how well they defended throughout the 90 minutes.
It was unsurprising Dortmund's goal came from a set-piece, despite the fact Liverpool - again - defended them well generally on the night.
Strange to have Lallana at the back of the zonal line along the 6 yard box, better with Origi there. Problem is LFC not the biggest of teams— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) April 7, 2016
The implication is more about Klopp's decision to put the playmaker where he did for set-piece duty.
The conceded goal aside, though, Liverpool have put themselves in a strong position. An away goal is vital, while the fact the Reds more than matched one of the strongest teams in Europe will be a massive boost for the Anfield outfit.
