Danny Batth has expressed his anger on Twitter at the challenge from Milton Keynes Dons defender Anthony Kay, which has caused Michal Zyro to pick up a severe injury.
Kay lunged into a tackle during Wolves 2-1 win at stadium:mk on Tuesday evening, which left Zyro requiring a stretcher to be taken off the pitch.
The Polish winger has now undergone scans, which have determined that he could have to miss up to 12 months with injury.
The news is a bitter blow for Wolves, and Batth is furious with the tackle that Kay put in.
Gutted for @Michal_Zyro on the injury- cant express how angry I am with how it happened but he will be strong and comeback from it— Danny Batth 'Bart' (@Danny_Batth) April 7, 2016
Kay was only yellow carded for the strong challenge during the match, with the referee not deeming it to be a sending off offence.
Zyro is now set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and he adds to Wolves’ injury woes.
Kenny Jackett’s side also have Nouha Dicko and Jordan Graham out with injuries of a similar nature to Zyro’s.
Zyro only moved to Wolves in the January transfer window, and he had scored three goals in his first seven appearances in English football.
