Ashton highlights a key factor which will favour West Ham against Arsenal

West Ham United host Arsenal this weekend.

Former player Dean Ashton feels the early kick-off can aid West Ham United as they bid to beat Arsenal this weekend in order to boost their top four chances, Betting.888sport report.

The Hammers host the Gunners in arguably the Premier League’s most intriguing encounter on Saturday as both teams still have plenty left to play for in the league.

Slaven Biic’s side are looking to get their top four bid back on track after two successive draws, while Arsenal must claim all three points if they are to stand any chance of claiming the Premier League title.

Answering questions for Betting.888sport, former Upton Park striker Ashton feels the early kick-off and atmosphere can really favour West Ham as getting on top of Arsenal will be crucial.

"I think the early kick-off will favour West Ham. With only a few games left at the stadium the atmosphere is going to be unbelievable and I always feel against Arsenal if you start well and get on top of them you have a chance. If you let them get into their stride they are really difficult to break down,” Ashton explained.

West Ham won the reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium on the opening day of the season, downing the Gunners 2-0 with star player Dimitri Payet showing flashes of what he is all about.

Since then, the East London side have only been getting better and better and had it not been for extremely harsh and incorrect officiating in their last two matches, they would be sitting in the top four now.

Still, there is everything to play for and as the Boleyn Ground hosts its last ever London derby before West Ham’s move to the Olympic Stadium, the atmosphere should be one to remember.
