The Gunners look unlikely to catch Leicester City in the title race.
The Gunners are currently 11 points behind leaders Leicester City after a disastrous 2016 for Arsene Wenger’s side.
They are not mathematically out of the race just yet, but it is hard to see them ending up as champions this season.
Still, there is still a slight that they can make a late push nonetheless and Gabriel says they must simply focus on winning all of their remaining games and hope they end up winning the title.
“First I hope that we’ll be able to win the seven matches we have left,” he told Arsenal Player.
“We must focus on that and forget about the other teams and whether they’re winning or losing. There are many surprises [in the Premier League]."
"The competition has been very difficult and is very complicated. “There’ll [still] be surprises but I hope that the surprises will be on the other teams and that we can win all seven games to be champions.”
Even if Arsenal do win all of their remaining games, it is hard to see the title ending up at the Emirates.
That is because of the form the Foxes are currently enjoying, with them yet to slip up in what has been an extraordinary surge to the top of the Premier League table.
They though, more than anyone else, will know that in such an unpredictable campaign that anything can happen and will be keen to ensure they don’t allow any mistakes in their remaining games.
