The duo have been in impressive form for Arsenal.
Elneny has enjoyed an impressive start to his Gunners career since joining from FC Basel back in January.
March was arguably his best month as he put in a series of notable performances, with his showing against Barcelona in the Champions League earning particular praise.
That has all come from him building a strong relationship alongside Francis Coquelin in the middle of the park.
And while Elneny says he believes that the Frenchman completes him, he insists the best is yet to come.
“Francis is a great player and thank God, I am always able to adapt to any of my team-mates in midfield,” he told Arsenal Player.
“We both understand each other and have many points in common when we play together. As he is a great player we complete each other in many aspects.
“It is a very good thing that we are able to understand each other quickly in no time so we can create a great outcome. The best is yet to come.”
The duo’s relationship in central midfield has certainly been impressive in the last month as the Gunners forms has improved.
It is not something that has gone unnoticed either, with manager Arsene Wenger recently commenting on how it has brought more balance to his team.
That will not come as good news to the likes of Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey of Jack Wilshere, who would have all been hoping to return to that position when they make their comeback from injury.
Given the form Coquelin and Elneny have enjoyed though, they face a fight to do so.
