Ronny Deila sympathises with Celtic supporters

Celtic Stands

Celtic could only draw 0-0 with Dundee yesterday evening.

Ronny Deila has insisted to the Scotsman that he has no problem with Celtic supporters booing their side.

The Bhoys could only manage to draw 0-0 with Dundee yesterday evening, and the reaction to the defeat was not a positive one.

Celtic were booed off by their own supporters who had travelled to watch them at Dundee.

And Deila said: “Football is about emotions and when you don’t get the victory you get irritated and sad like everyone else. So that’s something I understand.”

It is not the first time that Celtic results have been audibly criticised by their own fans this season, with frustrations rising at Parkhead.

Deila’s side’s title success is still far from secure, and they can ill afford to drop too many more points.

Celtic could have few complaints about their result against Dundee, either, as they simply did not do enough to merit the victory.

The Bhoys are now only five points clear of Aberdeen at the top of the league standings, and their form is not encouraging.

Celtic’s next match comes against Motherwell at Fir Park at the weekend.
